‘BJP’s political crop is growing, pesticides will have to be sprayed on bad areas’, said Nitin Gadkari

Senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari is known for his outspoken statements. In an interview given to Mumbai, he spoke openly on the current situation of BJP and many important issues.

Gadkari said that leaders and workers from different parties are continuing to join BJP. He said, ‘BJP is a party of workers. New people are coming for different reasons. It is our responsibility to train them, teach them ideology and make them our workers. Our efforts are continuing. Thousands of workers work hard, but sometimes the wrong word of one worker spoils the hard work of thousands.

Gadkari further said, ‘Differences are not a problem in our country, but lack of thinking is a problem. ‘Convenient politics is not important, but politics done with ideology is important.’

Sometimes problems arise in BJP due to leaders and workers coming from other parties. On this, Gadkari said, ‘As the crop increases, diseases also increase. There are many crops in BJP, which along with good grains also bring some diseases, hence we have to spray pesticides on such sick crops.

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the party had to face a disappointing performance in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, which was considered the BJP’s stronghold. Only Nitin Gadkari was able to save his seat. After this election defeat, BJP President JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah held several meetings with BJP leaders of Maharashtra, but Gadkari was not seen in these meetings.

On this question, Gadkari said, ‘I have no role in Maharashtra, the leaders here are capable. They don’t need me, but I will be available whenever my help is needed.
